The WI Special Agents Association is proud to serve as the professional organization for the dedicated Special Agents of the Wisconsin Department of Justice's Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI).
Our association is committed to fostering collaboration, enhancing professional development, and advocating for the interests of our members, who play a vital role in maintaining safety and justice throughout the state.
Special Agents of the DCI play a crucial role in maintaining public safety and upholding the rule of law across the state. As sworn law enforcement officers with statewide jurisdiction, they are tasked with a wide array of criminal investigative responsibilities, ensuring that the laws of Wisconsin are effectively enforced.
DCI Special Agents investigate a diverse range of serious crimes that span local and regional boundaries, including homicide, arson, financial crimes, illegal gaming, drug trafficking, computer crimes, and crimes against children. They collaborate closely with local, county, tribal, state, and federal officials, leveraging their expertise to solve complex cases and bring offenders to justice.
DCI also has a vital role in addressing issues of public integrity and government corruption, responding to special investigations requested by the Governor or the Legislature. Furthermore, the Division prioritizes the professional development of law enforcement personnel by providing extensive training on current issues, equipping officers with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively tackle the challenges they face.
With a commitment to public service and community safety, DCI Special Agents are dedicated to making Wisconsin a safer place for all residents.
